Excellent Mexican food with friendly service. Our family of 4 stopped at Begging Burro for lunch in Aug 2024 on our way to Custer State park. All the food we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Portions were generous and the service was quick and friendly. The decor and atmosphere were pleasant. They didn’t have guacamole that day due to lack of avocados, but nachos and fresh house-made salsa were great and we enjoyed our visit anyway. And did I mention the low prices? :) We certainly recommend Begging Burro if you like Mexican cuisine and looking for a good meal in Custer, SD! Food ordered Taco Salad with Grilled Beef Chicken Enchiladas Beef Burrito I'm not hungry chicken kids

This is the best taco salad I have ever had! Light and refreshing better than those traditional taco salad where the meat is greasy and it’s in a taco shell. Chips are fried up fresh for the salad and on the side so they don’t get soggy. Super friendly staff too

We arrived half an hour before close. The staff was super friendly and professional. The presentation of the food was beautiful, and the flavors were stunning. The prices for what you get are extremely reasonable. We learned that the staff come from all different parts of Mexico, which is reflected in the diversity of their offerings

Love the food best fish tacos ever!! Thick Mahi Mahi fish and yummy peppers very tasty! Also loved the enchiladas and kids menu is very unique! Great Drinks and dessert!Definitely a must try place while you're in Custer South Dakota!

Fun stop on our way to Mt. Rushmore. Went in for an early lunch and glad that it was one of the few restaurants open on the Main Street. The servers were super nice and service was fast! Great experience and we were in and out in about 30 minutes. Also fun decorations like this donkey statue next to the bathroom.

Really good food! 71 got us two alcoholic beverages, local walleye dish, and enormous plate of steak nachos. Would come again! The margarita comes in a pint glass, not one of those tiny little ones you get at some other places. The walleye was tender and beautifully seasoned. The nachos had cubes of steak not ground hamburger and was the perfect ratio of chips to toppings. You also get free chips and salsa!

This was some of the best Mexican food my husband and I ever had. Roberto was a fantastic waiter and amazing fresh nachos and excellent seasoning on all the food. We were wowed.

Atmosphere was great. Our waiter Hector was fast and friendly with our party of 7. Our recommendation is the guacamole live for appetizer. They make it right in front of you. Hands down great food.
